Arrive at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, where your private driver will meet you and transfer you comfortably to your accommodation in Casablanca. The drive usually takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic and the location of your hotel.
After check-in, the rest of the day can remain relaxed or be used for a gentle first introduction to Morocco’s largest city. Casablanca has a layered history shaped by Amazigh origins, Portuguese influence, French urban planning, Moroccan traditions, Atlantic trade, and modern city life.
If you feel ready to explore, begin with the Habous Quarter, often known as Casablanca’s New Medina. This neighborhood was developed during the French period and combines Moroccan craft traditions with Art Deco-inspired urban design. Walk through its calm streets, browse artisan shops, admire arcades and traditional storefronts, or stop at a café for your first Moroccan tea or meal.
Later in the day, you may continue toward the Atlantic coast. Casablanca’s Boulevard de la Corniche is a lively seaside promenade with ocean views, cafés, restaurants, and sunset atmosphere. It is a pleasant place for a first walk after travel, especially if you want fresh air and a soft start to the itinerary.
If timing allows, you may also pass near El Hank Lighthouse for wide views of the city and coastline. Travelers arriving later can simply rest at the hotel and prepare for the next day’s Casablanca visit before transferring to Marrakech.

After breakfast in Casablanca, begin a self-guided discovery of the city before traveling south to Marrakech later in the day. This morning gives you time to experience Casablanca’s most important landmarks, coastal identity, public squares, green spaces, and old city atmosphere.
Start with Hassan II Mosque, one of Casablanca’s most impressive sites and one of Morocco’s most important architectural landmarks. Set beside the Atlantic Ocean, the mosque is known for its large prayer hall, oceanfront courtyards, detailed tilework, carved wood, marble, and dramatic minaret. If you plan to enter, visit times and modest dress requirements should be confirmed in advance.
After the mosque visit, continue toward Mohamed V Square, a spacious city plaza known for palm trees, fountains, public buildings, and French-influenced architecture. This area gives a good sense of Casablanca’s modern urban character.
If you want a longer walk, continue toward Arab League Park, one of the city’s largest green spaces. The park offers shaded paths, palm trees, lawns, and a calmer atmosphere away from traffic. Nearby, you may also pass the Sacred Heart Cathedral, a former Catholic church from the French period that is sometimes used as a cultural space.
Later, visit Casablanca’s Old Medina. Although smaller and less famous than the medinas of Marrakech or Fes, it still offers narrow streets, local shops, traditional doors, everyday market life, and a more local side of the city.
Travelers interested in film history may also choose to stop at Rick’s Café if timing allows. This restaurant is inspired by the classic film “Casablanca” and can be visited independently for a drink, meal, or quick look depending on availability.
In the afternoon, meet your private driver and begin the transfer from Casablanca to Marrakech. On arrival, check into your riad or hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening. You may have dinner at the accommodation, take a short walk nearby, or simply rest before beginning your deeper Marrakech discovery the next day.

Start around Jemaa el-Fna, the city’s famous central square and one of the most active public spaces in Morocco. During the day, the square is filled with vendors, juice stalls, musicians, storytellers, local characters, and travelers moving between the medina and the souks.
Continue into the surrounding souks, where narrow lanes are filled with spices, carpets, lanterns, leather goods, pottery, jewelry, textiles, baskets, and handmade Moroccan crafts. This is a good place to discover local artisan work and practice bargaining respectfully if you find something you like.
As you walk deeper into the medina, explore the smaller alleys and hidden side streets that give Marrakech its character. The experience can be flexible and self-guided, with time to stop for photos, mint tea, fresh juice, or a light snack.
You may also come across traditional fondouks, historic caravanserai-style spaces once used by merchants and traders. Today, some have been transformed into workshops, small shops, storage spaces, homes, or artisan areas, offering a glimpse into Marrakech’s old commercial life.
In the afternoon, you can return to your riad for rest or continue exploring at your own pace. Marrakech can be intense and colorful, so a slower rhythm helps you enjoy the city without feeling rushed.
In the evening, return toward Jemaa el-Fna if you want to experience the square as it transforms into a lively open-air food and performance area. You can enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, try Moroccan dishes from trusted food stalls, or relax at a rooftop café overlooking the medina.
