After breakfast in Fes, leave Morocco’s cultural capital and begin the journey toward Marrakech. This is one of the longer travel days of the itinerary, connecting northern Morocco and the imperial city of Fes with the plains and red landscapes of Marrakech.

The route can pass through Morocco’s central corridor, with changing views of towns, farmland, open plains, and daily life along the way. Depending on timing and the confirmed route, stops can be arranged for coffee, lunch, photos, or short breaks to make the journey more comfortable.

This travel day gives time to rest after several days of cultural visits in Fes, the Guerrouane region, Meknes, and Volubilis. It also marks a clear shift in atmosphere, moving from the traditional medina depth of Fes toward the warmer colors, gardens, souks, palaces, and lively squares of Marrakech.

If the route passes near Casablanca or other major stops, lunch can be arranged depending on timing and driver recommendation. The exact stops should remain flexible according to road conditions, traveler comfort, and the final confirmed travel plan.

Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening and check into your riad or hotel. After breakfast, meet your local guide and begin a guided visit of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant imperial cities. Known as the Red City, Marrakech brings together old medina life, colorful souks, palaces, gardens, historic neighborhoods, food culture, and the famous energy of Jemaa el-Fna.

Start inside the old medina, a UNESCO-listed area filled with narrow streets, traditional shops, spice stalls, lanterns, leather goods, textiles, handmade slippers, metalwork, carpets, and everyday local movement. Your guide helps you understand the structure of the medina and the stories behind its markets, crafts, and neighborhoods.

Continue through the souks, where each area has its own craft identity. You may see artisans working with metal, wood, leather, textiles, spices, and natural products. This part of the tour gives travelers a close look at Marrakech’s commercial and creative life.

Depending on the confirmed route and opening times, the visit may include Bahia Palace, known for its courtyards, carved wood, painted ceilings, tilework, and peaceful interior spaces. This is a good time to return to the souks for last photos, final shopping, or a quieter walk through Marrakech’s old streets before the day becomes busy. You may explore spice stalls, artisan corners, dried flower shops, traditional crafts, small cafés, or hidden medina passages with support from your guide or local contact if included.

If your departure is later in the day, the morning can also be used for an additional cultural stop, a rooftop coffee, a short visit to a garden, or free time near Jemaa el-Fna. The pace should remain flexible so the final hours feel smooth and comfortable.

After the morning visit, return to your accommodation to collect your luggage. Your private driver will transfer you to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight.
