Day 1
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your Sahara adventure begins in Fes as you travel south through the breathtaking landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, and peaceful atmosphere, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where wild Barbary macaques roam freely among ancient trees. After a relaxing lunch stop in Midelt, the journey becomes increasingly dramatic as you cross mountain passes and winding roads toward the desert regions of southern Morocco.
Along the way, admire panoramic views over the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves, ancient oasis villages, and stunning desert scenery stretching across the horizon.
Passing through Erfoud, a town renowned for fossils and old caravan routes, you finally arrive at the golden dunes of Merzouga. As the sun begins to set, enjoy an unforgettable camel trek across the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes.
Deep in the Sahara, settle into your traditional desert camp surrounded by silence and stars. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the fire, and a magical night beneath the desert sky.
Day 2
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most unforgettable moments of the Sahara experience. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, depart toward Rissani, the historic trading town once connected to ancient desert caravans.
The journey continues through oasis landscapes and traditional Berber villages toward Tinghir. Here, you will explore the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise high above crystal-clear riverbeds and lush palm groves. The scenery creates a striking contrast between rugged mountains and green oasis life.
In the afternoon, continue toward the breathtaking Dades Valley along winding mountain roads surrounded by unusual rock formations and spectacular desert landscapes. Stop to admire the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and the iconic zigzag road overlooking the valley.
Arrive at your hotel in the heart of the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay. Depending on the evening atmosphere, you may also enjoy traditional Berber music and warm local hospitality.
Day 3
Day 3: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue through the palm groves of Skoura, one of Morocco’s most beautiful oasis regions filled with ancient kasbahs and hidden villages. Travel toward Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” famous for its film studios and cinematic desert landscapes.
The adventure continues to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Wander through its narrow earthen streets and admire the ancient kasbah architecture that has appeared in many international films and series. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the historic ksar.
In the afternoon, cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the route, discover breathtaking mountain scenery, remote Berber villages, and dramatic valleys before descending toward Marrakech.
Arrival in Marrakech in the evening, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s mountains, oasis valleys, and Sahara Desert.
